Chaos Theory

Ashna Hussain / V Mag at UVA

A small event: I walk in and you are already there

We are meeting annihilation

Black eyes, black light, Atom-aggregate

The event of a lifetime, cosmically-defining

here you are– here I am

I’m going to die, lost in the cacophony

Doomed to repeat the steps over

and over

I’ll ask you to pull me away

And you’ll gaze upon me with pulsar eyes, spewing radiation,

And I will die again

Breathe into me your celestial creations

I’ll soak up every particle

And hold them in the grips of my gravity

Imploding at the signal of dawn

Into our fated atomicide

We go in circles– your big bang,

My coming creation– your black hole,

my supernova

Colliding and colliding until all

I will have left

All that I will feel–

is you
